Winner for the Best DJ Award 2011: Jason Fakeerah

Leeds Black Awards is an annual event that was set up to celebrate the achievements of people of African lineage in Leeds.

It is also designed to celebrate those who contribute to the ‘Black experience’ irrespective of their race (as was evidenced by one of this year’s awards).

The nominees for each category are established primarily online via the LBA website www.leedsblackawards.com).

Rapidly becoming one of the most recognizable names on the UK scene, Jason has also cemented his reputation as a DJ in places as diverse as Ibiza and Dubai.
