Winner for the Best Professional award 2011: Jason Pitter

Leeds Black Awards is an annual event that was set up to celebrate the achievements of people of African lineage in Leeds.

It is also designed to celebrate those who contribute to the ‘Black experience’ irrespective of their race (as was evidenced by one of this year’s awards).

The nominees for each category are established primarily online via the LBA website www.leedsblackawards.com).

Jason is a practising Barrister, studied Law at King’s College, London specialising in criminal defence. He is an active member of the Criminal Bar Association, Pro Bono unit and a member of the Bar council Equal Opportunities unit.
